On July 21, 2012, Deputy Consul General Song Ruan attended the welcome reception for Vice Commissioner of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) hosted by North California traditional Chinese medicine communities.

Deputy Consul General Song indicated that, the promotion of Chinese traditional medicine in US has congealed hard works of generations of our predecessors. California State, however, has been the most important part and played a vanguard role. Although the international environment for Chinese traditional medicine development is much better off now, there is still a heavy responsibility and a long way to go before us. He hoped the local Chinese traditional medicine communities work together and strive to push forward the heritage and development of overseas Chinese traditional medicine enterprises.

The Vice Commissioner, Yu Wenming, briefed on the domestic development of Chinese traditional medicine enterprises and the present China-US cooperation situation. Those present at the reception expressed their gratitude for SATCM and Chinese Consulate General's persistent supports to overseas Chinese traditional medicine development, and congratulated on the success of this visit.
