On February 18th, the Academy of China Performing Arts presented the 8th Firecrackers Festival – "Best of the ACPA Repertoire" at the Visual & Performing Arts Center of Cupertino. Around 100 local Chinese and other ethnic students performed altogether 16 repertoires mainly based on Chinese classic, contemporary and traditional dances.

    Deputy Consul General Song Ruan and Culture Counselor Sun Jianhua, Democratic California State Assembly member Paul Fong, Senior Field Representative at California State Assembly Andrae Macapinalac, Fremont Mayor Gus Morrison and vice mayor Natarajan, Cupertino mayor representative Steve Cho and etc. were invited to watch the performance. San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed, Fremont mayor Gus Morrison, Cupertino mayor Mark Santoro and Milpitas mayor Jose Esteves sent their congratulatory messages.
