2019 Berkeley China Summit focused on cooperation

The 2019 Berkeley China Summit themed “Technology Permeating Culture and Business” was held successful in UC Berkeley on October 6th, 2019. Dean of the College of Engineering of UC Berkeley Tsu Jae King Liu, 2013 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine Randy Schekman and Honorary Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia Jack Wadsworth delivered keynote speeches. Chinese Deputy Consul General to San Francisco Ren Faqiang and California State Assembly member Phil Ting delivered welcoming remarks. Chinese education counselor Tang Jun, leading figures of technology, engineering and business innovation across the Bay Area and more than 500 hundred alumni and students of UC Berkeley joined this event.

Berkeley China Summit which is organized and sponsored by official UC Berkeley alumni, Berkeley Chinese Student and Scholars Association, Haas Asia Business Club and other students organizations began in 2016. The summit aims to connect experts of technology, engineering, and business innovation across the Bay Area with their Chinese counterparts. The scale and influence of the summit has been expanding year by year since the establishment 4 years ago.
