Deputy Consul-General Bi Gang attended 2013 Silicon Valley Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum

On Nov. 2nd, 2013 Silicon Valley Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum was successfully held in Santa Clara Convention Center. Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco Gang Bi attended the forum and addressed at the opening ceremony. Former Vice President Al Gore and Congresswoman Judy Chu attended this forum with more than 1000 attendees from China and US.

While extending sincere congratulations to the forum, Deputy Consul General Bi emphasized that China could not fulfill economic transformation without the support of science and technology. The key to economic transformation is S&T progress, which relies heavily on innovation, while talents are critical to innovation-driven development. China always attaches great importance to overseas high-tech talents,and has been implementing the Recruitment Program of Global Experts and the Thousand Foreign Talents program in recent years. China encourages and supports overseas high-tech talents to start business and innovation in China, get them involved in China's development, share the fruits of China's rapid growth and turn their dreams into reality. Deputy Consul General Bi appreciated the forum for it's contributions toward China-U.S. science and technological exchange and cooperation, and looked forward to joining hands together with all parties to create a shared future.
