Deputy Consul General Bi Gang attended the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Chinese American Institute of Engineers and Scientists and the 50th Scholarship Award Banquet

On June 15, Chinese American Institute of Engineers and Scientists (CAIES) held the 70th Anniversary Celebration and the 50th Scholarship Award Banquet at San Francisco. Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco Gang Bi attended this event.

In his remarks, Deputy Consul General Bi thanked CAIES for their past contributions toward China-U.S. relations and Science & Technology exchanges, especially during the early years of China's opening up and their kind donations during the difficult times such as the Wenchuan Earthquake, and wished CAIES members success in their own respective endeavors.

Deputy Consul General Bi was also invited to give Distinguished Service Award to Mr. Richard Tom, and 6 Chinese American college students received the 2013 Scholarship.
