More countries and international organizations offered aid to China whose southwest Sichuan province was hit by a massive earthquake.

The Indian government decided to provide 5 million U.S. dollars worth of relief materials to China.

The Thai government has donated 500,000 U.S. dollars to the Chinese government. Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn made a personal donation of 100,000 RMB (about 14,286 U.S. dollars). The Thai Red Cross Society and the Chaipattana Foundation under royal patronage also passed on a donation of 200,000 U.S. dollars to the Chinese Red Cross.

The government of Singapore decided to offer 200,000 U.S. dollars worth of relief material to China.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen donated 100,000 U.S. dollars for the relief to the earthquake victims in China on behalf of the Royal Government.

The government of Laos decided to provide 500,000 U.S. dollars worth of timber to help China's relief work.

The government of Algeria decided to provide 1 million U.S. dollars in emergency aid to China.

Ireland's government decided to provide 1 million euros (about 1.55 million U.S. dollars) in cash to the Chinese Red Cross.

The government of Lithuania decided to donate 200,000 litai (about 90,000 U.S. dollars) to the Chinese Red Cross.

Denmark's Foreign Ministry announced that it will donate emergency aid worth 750,000 Danish kroner (about 150,000 U.S. dollars) to the Chinese Red Cross. Besides, the Danish Red Cross has already offered relief materials worth more than one million Danish kroner (about 200,000 U.S. dollars) to China through the International Red Cross.

Swiss Foreign Ministry also announced that the Swiss government will donate 400,000 Swiss francs (about 380,000 U.S. dollars) as its first batch of emergency aid to China.

The Czech government decided to offer material assistance worth 700, 000 Czech korunas (about 43,000 U.S. dollars) to China.

New Zealand's government also decided to provide to China 500,000 New Zealand dollars (about 400,000 U.S. dollars) through the International Red Cross.

The Brazilian government decided to offer material assistance worth 200,000 U.S. dollars to China.

Furthermore, diplomats from embassies of foreign countries in China including Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen and Guinea as well as a number of Arab countries also made donations to the Chinese side. The Estonian ambassador to China, Andres Unga, also donated blood to the people in the disaster-hit areas.
